Overview
 Golden Door Geriatric Centre is an accredited personal care home located in the Fort Garry area of Winnipeg. We provide quality client-centered care, in a supportive environment to seniors who can no longer live independently. Our goal is to support residents to maintain independence, dignity and safety. We promote participation in health care decision making, exercise, activities, companionship and enjoyable meals as part of maintaining health and quality of life.
Golden Door Geriatric Centre is situated on extensive grounds and is surrounded by lush trees. We boast beautiful flower gardens in our secured outdoor patio area that is planted each year with the assistance of our Residents. Our home consists of three neighbourhoods each housing Resident rooms and a common lounge all on one level. Accommodations are provided in 22 private rooms and 28 spacious semi-private rooms. All rooms are equipped with washrooms and nursing call bells. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal effects to create a more personalized home-like environment.
As part of the Manitoba Personal Care Home program, we provide professional nursing services, physician services, personal care, basic medical supplies, food and nutrition services, medications and pharmacy services, activities and recreation, housekeeping, laundry, occupational therapy and access to speech
language, physiotherapy and transportation as required.

Our home cooking enhances enjoyment, and provides optimal
nutrition. Personal health and well-being is promoted
in our congenial atmosphere, and facilitated by our compassionate
staff. Companionship and enjoyment of life is promoted
in our recreational program, and in the caring extended
to our friendly pets.
